Weekly Message 3/20/2021
Happy First Day of Spring!!!
We have now finished the first 2/3rd of ENE483 material. For the remainder of the semester, we will focus on control technologies. On Monday, we will start this unit with particulate removal and gravity settling.
On Wednesday, we will have a guest lecturer: Mike Apgar from Fishbeck, who will talk with us about vapor intrusion. This lecture will link indoor air quality with vapor transport in the environment, air sampling, and soil remediation and I'm sure will be enlightening. Mike is a CEE alumnus and a senior environmental engineer at Fishbeck. He has 25 years of experience in in-situ remediation of groundwater, soil, and ambient air. As usual, I will record the lecture, but it would be great if all (at least most of you) could be in attendance.
Project 2 is due March 22 at 11:59 pm. If you need the 72-h grace period, let me know by email and I will adjust the due date on LON-CAPA. Participation Question 9 is due on March 22, respectively.
The homework on ambient air quality modeling is due on March 29 at 11:59 pm. If you need the 48-h grace period just let me know by email.
I posted a new job announcement (intern at the Ann Arbor Water Treatment Plant) on the blog.
And finally, I thought I would share two of Professor Andre Lee's recent photos .

All the best,
